Worms w.m.d video11/13/2023 ![]() ![]() sometimes the wind causes the fire to fly away from where you want it to go. ![]() One thing that kinda sucks when using the rocket is that you never know what the wind is gonna be like when it finally drops. If the fire in WMD worked like it does in W:A, I'd love it. I like the way the petrol bomb works in W:A because it is very predictable and smooth. Sometimes it will barely move a worm and other times they will go flying and/or bounce a lot. the way worms react to it seems so damn random. My only real complaint about is a complaint shared with the way fire works in WMD in general. You can also use it to force people to drop a girder over their heads, or to move. I like predicting where an enemy will be in several turns and placing it there. I also like the fact that opponents cannot see where it is placed, so there's a bit of a guessing game. The purple fire is also pretty darn sweet. I love the fact that you can set the timer from 1-6 rounds, and I'm glad that it does beefed up damage to vehicles as well. W1 Rocket: I actually really like this weapon. 20 is pretty weak IMO, especially when the whole thing is gone with one touch. I also wouldn't mnd if it got a bit of a damage buff as well. ![]() It should be a little more tenacious than that. Also, I wish that it had more HP because all it takes is 1 point of damage to make it disappear. I think that it should count as a solid object. I do not like how you can shoot between the links. it would make it a far more tactical item. I think that only the part that gets touched should disappear and the rest should remain. My main complaint about it is that once a worm touches any part of it, the entire thing is gone. I think it is best used for taking out girders or protective terrain and exposing worms, or for doing very light chip damage when a worm can be easily knocked down below, either in the water or on the ground. The Stinger isn't very good IMO for damaging worms. The Stuffed Turkey Surprise is a perfect example. In fact, I've noticed that a few weapons in WMD don't behave according to 'default' values in terms of shooting distance. I frequently overshoot with the Stinger/Lick because of this. One gripe that I have with it though is that it seems to shoot much further than a zook or a nade. Worm Stinger: I like the fact that it isn't affected by magnets even though it clearly *seems* to be metallic. It started quite the controversy during its introduction but it's thankfully been nerfed and still able to be effective, especially in forts mode for finding out where worms are holed up! I think this weapon is good enough as is, but it is much better in the midgame where you've started learning the opponent's turn pattern. Plus, online players won't see where you've targeted. W1 Rocket - This is very good, as those who aren't good at aiming can easily place it over a vehicle for a ton of damage and a guaranteed instant vehicle explosion. I think it would benefit a lot better if only one of the barbs got removed when stepped on, as it's already situational as is and it would make it more useful. It's very unique but sadly underused as many other methods can be taken to infiltrate buildings or bunkers, but it's super nice to put inside buildings so as soon as worms step inside, it's too late. Worm Stinger - Probably my favourite weapon in the update, which spikes worms who get too close, without damaging land. Still, i'm not sure how it could be improved or changed. My biggest pet peeve with this weapon however is that most of the time the worm will just fly away from the rope and survive with very little damage taken. Tasty Worm Lick - This weapon is very unique as it can cover a good area with explosives and potentially blow worms into other explosives. ![]() I'll cover the weapons in the update on what I think they're good for, what might be changed and what is the most favorable. Liberation was a really neat and underrated update with some fun little weapons and a nice looking landscape. ![]()
